Ireland India Council & Kylemore Cars Light up Dublin with Grand Diwali Celebrations

The Ireland India Council, in partnership with Kylemore Cars (event hosts) are thrilled to announce an extraordinary Diwali festival on November 4th, 2023. This event marks a journey of Diwali in Ireland from Indian households to City Hall and the Irish corporate world, promising a cultural extravaganza to bring joy, unity, and prosperity to our vibrant community.
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by more than a billion people of various faiths or no faith around the world. It symbolises the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. Families and communities come together to exchange gifts and share the unity and hope that Diwali represents.
Prashant Shukla, Chairman of the Ireland India Council, expressed his excitement about the upcoming event: "Diwali holds great significance for the Indian community in Ireland, and we are delighted to see it become an integral part of Ireland's cultural fabric. This festival not only represents India's rich heritage and traditions but also underscores the importance of diversity and inclusion. Our partnership with Kylemore Cars in bringing Diwali to corporate world is evident to our commitment to showcase the cultural richness of our heritage and promote understanding among our diverse communities."
David Gorey, a prominent member representing Kylemore Cars at the Ireland India Council, added, "The celebration of Diwali has gained importance over the years, and this year's event offers an opportunity to share our traditions and values while also highlighting the cultural and business significance of Diwali, especially Dhanteras. This auspicious day marks the beginning of the Diwali celebrations and is considered a suitable time for investments and significant purchases, particularly in the automotive sector. Dhanteras signifies a prosperous year ahead, making it a day when businesses and individuals invest in new vehicles."

The Ireland India Council has played a pivotal role in promoting cultural exchange, starting modestly in 2002 and now culminating in this grand celebration in 2023. The Council has worked diligently to bring Diwali from the homes of the Indian community to the heart of Dublin and into the corporate world.
