Kylemore Cars at Bumble Bee
James and Paul at the first day of Bumble Bee
Kylemore Cars recently had the pleasure of attending the "Bumble
Bee" fundraiser event, a heartwarming gathering organized to support
Little Blue Heroes, a charity dedicated to helping seriously ill children and
their families. We spent the day immersed in the event's amazing atmosphere,
engaging with the community, and getting to see some impressive cars. From
fun-filled activities to inspiring conversations, the day was a testament to
the power of community spirit and compassion.
Here's a recap of our memorable experience at this event.
Bumblebee1000 is a supercar-oriented road trip founded in
June of 2021. The team has run several highly successful trips to date. there
most recent event was there ‘Fast & Furious road trip’ in partnership with
little blue heroes’ foundation The Little blue Heroes foundation was found in 2017. It’s a
nonprofit registered charity led by Garda members. There vision is to support
families of children with serious illnesses in Ireland while empowering the
lives of children through positive community engagement. Our Day 1 of Bumblebee 1000 kicked off in style at the
startline in Barberstown Castle in Co. Kildare
at 8am sharp. The early morning air buzzed with excitement as our vibrant
Bumblebee cars took off, By 1pm, we rolled into the village of Ballyfarnon,
where we were warmly welcomed for a lunch break. Around 4pm we stopped in Sligo
allowing us to refuel both our vehicles and our spirits before continuing. We finished
up the day in Belmullet Co. Mayo at around half 5 and that was day 1 already
over.
Day 2 began where we left off in Co. Mayo. We stopped off in
the Galway plaza at around midday for a fuel stop before taking off again to
the Loughrea Hotel at around half 1for lunch, We met someone amazing people
throughout the day and got to hear their stories and how they got involved with
The Little Blue Heroes and Bumblebee. we also got the pleasure to see all the different
supercars along the way before finishing up for the day in Limerick City for
the night.
The last day of the Bumblebee 1000 Run was full of excitement
as we headed towards the finish line in Westmeath. This journey was all about
supporting the Little Blue Heroes Foundation, which helps seriously ill
children and their families. With this great cause in mind, we drove with extra
enthusiasm. As we got closer to Westmeath, seeing the finish line made us remember
why this event takes place. Crossing it marked the end of an amazing adventure
and the start of a big celebration. We were all happy to have come together for
such a good cause, making a difference with every mile we drove.
We were able to raise €202,575
in just 3 days!! Which is what this event is all about. A big thank you to the Bumblebee
crowd for letting us be apart of this great cause and to all the guards that helped
along the way without them this wouldn’t of been possible and a special thank
you everyone we met along the way there is a great sense of community when everyone
comes together with the same common goal which was giving the kids a weekend to
remember , We hope to go back next year.
